Lawnwood
Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute is
a 345-bed acute care hospital offering a full range of services.
Lawnwood is home to the only full-service cardiac center on the
Treasure Coast and offers diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic
care, including open-heart surgery. Health-grades, a national quality
rating organization, has named Lawnwood a Distinguished Hospital
for Clinical Excellence four years in a row. Lawnwood is one of
only 21 non-teaching hospitals in the United States to receive this
rating four consecutive years. The hospital has also received 5-star
ratings for cardiac, stroke, and pulmonary services placing it in
the top 5% in the country for these specialty services. Recently
added to the hospitals services is the da Vinci robotic surgical
system which provides surgeons the ability to perform minimally

Lawnwood Pavilion, located
on Lawnwood Regional Medical Center’s Campus, houses a 36-bed inpatient
mental health facility and a 32-bed inpatient rehabilitation center.
Mental health services include assessment and referral outpatient
psychiatric and mental health services, and inpatient psychiatric
services. The rehabilitation center is CARF accredited and provides
physical and occupational therapies, speech/language pathology,

St.
Lucie Medical Center (SLMC) is
a 194-bed hospital offering a full range of acute care services
including rehabilitation, obstetrics, inpatient and outpatient surgery
and services. It is ranked among the top 5% of all hospitals in
the nation for overall clinical performance and received the 2006
Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical ExcellenceTM from HealthGrades,
the nation’s leading healthcare ratings company.
SLMC’s 5-star rated
Orthopedic Center of Excellence ranks among the top 5% in the nation
for joint replacement and is rated 5-stars for total knee and hip
replacement surgery. It’s Surgery Center is ranked among the top
10% in the nation for overall general surgery and received the 2006
HealthGrades General Surgery Excellence AwardTM and a 5-star rating
for neck and back surgery.
In addition to cardiac
catherization diagnostic testing and rehabilitation services, the

Martin Memorial Health Systems,
based in Stuart, Fla., is comprised
of two hospitals, three MediCenters, and numerous centers and clinics.
The system is a not-for-profit organization that offers hospital
care, cancer care, rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, laboratory
services, orthopedics, surgery (including bariatrics), maternity
care, five fitness centers, weight management and smoking cessation
programs, diabetes education, sleep disorders center, wound care
and more. A long-awaited heart center is scheduled to open in fall
2006. Our services provide care for residents throughout the Treasure
Coast, including Stuart, Jensen Beach, Hobe Sound, Palm City and
Port St. Lucie.
Martin

clinic), adult and pediatric physicians’ offices, diagnostic imaging
